Vastu myths vs facts: let go of the fear

Much of what people hear about Vastu is half-true or simply wrong. Tap any card to see what Vastu really says.

Myth

“Vastu can bring you wealth without you doing anything.”

Vastu supports your health and mindset so you are ready to earn. Your own effort, your karma, still matters most.

“The main door can face any direction.”

An entrance can sit in any of 32 positions around the house. Only a few are naturally strong. Most of the others can be balanced, depending on the problems you face.

Almost every imbalance can be treated without demolition. Only a toilet or kitchen in the North-east usually needs to move.

Myth

A South-facing home is as good as any other. The position of the entrance matters far more than the facing.

Myth

“Vastu only matters if you own the property.”

A space affects the people who live or work in it, whether they own it or rent it.

Tap to reveal the fact

Myth

“Keep a Ganesha idol at the main door to stop negativity.”

Avoid this. A Ganesha at the door keeps the good out too. Place the idol inside, in the right zone, as your consultant advises.

Tap to reveal the fact

Myth

“Many Ganesha idols at home bring more blessings.”

Avoid keeping many Ganesha idols. It can create confusion among the people living there.

Tap to reveal the fact

Myth

“Any Vastu remedy is harmless, so put it anywhere.”

A remedy in the wrong zone can create a new imbalance. The zone decides the result, so take advice before you place one.

Tap to reveal the fact

Myth

“Vastu remedies can replace a doctor.”

Never. Vastu supports your well-being. It works alongside medical care, not instead of it.
